Sustainable development by accomplishing and testing woven textile technical articles meant for industrial clean processes

 


Acronym: TEXIND

Project summary:
The topic is a part of the thematic priority “Modalities and mechanisms for environmental pollution reduction”, with the purpose of creating clean products, processes and technologies, and also of developing new high-added value materials, products and processes.
The project aims at obtaining results in conformity with the concept of sustainable development that implies the integration of economic objectives with the ecological and environmental protective ones.
Among technical articles, textile filters proved their utility, and the market for these products is permanently increasing, being imposed by the necessity to have an as fine as possible filtration and as clean (pure) as possible effluents (waters & air).
These technical articles are characterized by the diversity of: utilization sectors, variety of filtration media and process parameters, physical-chemical nature and characteristics of textile materials, technological parameters of accomplishing the woven fabric and the superior finishing treatments applied.
This project partnership network is formed of R&D organizational systems and private economic agents in the field of: textile chemical and mechanical technologies, the accomplishing of textile mechanical systems, mechatronics systems, penumo-hydraulic systems, electronic and automation systems, as well as of industrial processes generating media with impurities.

General objective:
The general project objective is the accomplishing of woven textile technical articles meant for various media: waste waters, oils with impurities, gases with suspended particles.

Specific objectives:
- Software elaboration for the designing of filtering woven textile materials
- Accomplishing-testing of woven textile technical articles meant for industrial clean processes
- Designing the equipment for testing the filtering parameters of the filtering woven textiles for various media.

Estimated results:
STAGE I: study - Substantiation of principles for the assessment of filtering woven fabrics; study – substantiation of quality indicators of the filtering woven materials; study – evaluation of present technical state-of-the-art in the field; articles in specialty magazines.
STAGE II: methods and algorithm for designing filtering woven textile materials; software for computer assisted designing of simple and composed filtering woven textile materials; study on weaving machines meant for obtaining technical woven fabrics; study on finishing technologies specific to the field; articles in specialty magazines.
STAGE III: study on testing stands for filtering materials; documentation for evaluation – optimization of equipment components; project for FM testing equipment meant for liquids; project for FM testing equipment meant for gases; articles in specialty magazines; paper delivery/ participation in national/international conferences/fairs/exhibitions.
STAGE IV: testing reports, physical-mechanical investigations, variants of filtering woven fabrics, articles in specialty magazines.
STAGE V: testing reports, physical-mechanical investigations, variants of filtering woven fabrics;
patent application documentation; experimenting report; article accepted for publishing in the specialty magazine.
